Thomas Glover was born in Aberdeenshire in 1838. Aged 21, he went to Japan and started a business there. He assisted in the modernisation of Japan and its opening up to Western influence and business. These included links to local shipbuilders in Aberdeen. He is better known with his role in forming the Mitsubishi Corporation. This talk will explore the fascinating life of this North East Scotland man.
